And now, we have the second Ultraman to appear in “Ultraman Gaia”, Agul!
I’ve not watched “Ultraman Gaia” before. It’s on my ‘to watch’ list; I’ll probably only watch it if I can find subs or DVDs for it though. But from my understanding, Agul (V2; just like Gaia, Agul’s V2 is part of his name. The V2 of Agul is marked by his gold rims.) first appeared in Episode 3 of “Ultraman Gaia”, and is portrayed as an anti-hero of sorts. Sometimes, he’s a rival or foe, but eventually he became a partner/team mate to Gaia.
Like Gaia’s box art, Agul’s box art is also colourful and striking, a far cry from the previous black-based box arts.
Like Gaia, Agul comes with a good load of accessories and effect parts. From left to right, we have the “Agul Stream”, “Photon Screw” and “Agul Saber” parts. We also have a few hand options, a Tamashii Stage attachment part, a different coloured Colour Timer, as well as the ‘light-up’ eyes. There’s also an option part for use when Agul poses in the “Agul Stream” attack, which I forgot to include here.
The light up effect for Agul doesn’t work as well as Gaia’s.
Well, hope you enjoyed the photos! Next up… DYNA!!
